The Monteregie-Ouest and Saint-Hyacinthe maple syrup producers’ unions invite producers from Monteregie region to attend an English-speaking training event in December.
We will mainly deal with the bad tastes of syrup (the causes and the solutions), the tapping (the consequences of tapping near the old cuts). Also, the secrets for better performance. We will discuss the California Agreement of Lead. There will also be exchanges with producers on topical maple sugar topics.
The list of invited speakers includes Dr. Abby van den Berg, Mark Isselhardt, from the Proctor Maple Research Center in Vermont and Martin Pelletier, Forest Engineer, Team Leader in Technology Transfer at the ACER Center.
Two possible appointment on Wednesday, December 11th
- From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Resto-Bar Le Douglas, 3, rang St-André, in Napierville
- Or, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Sutton City Hall, 11, Main South road in Sutton.
Registration is free. There are 30 spots available for each place. Lunch is provided on the premises at the participants’ expense (± 25 $) in Napierville. No meals in Sutton.
